Display and Change the Date/Time in CentOS/RHEL

The timedatectl utility is a part of the systemd system and service manager that allows you to change the current date and time of the linux system.

Display the current date and time	timedatectl
Change the current date	timedatectl set-time YYYY-MM-DD
Change the current time	timedatectl set-time HH:MM:SS
List all available time zones in Asia	timedatectl list-timezones \| grep Asia
Change the time zone to Asia/Kuala_Lumpur	timedatectl set-timezone Asia/Kuala_Lumpur
